VirtualSharp visit to launch in Australia has impressed all including the local VMWare team with Disaster Recovery solution for next level.

I have really enjoyed this visit as all of the visits we did were unanimous in wanting to know more and trial the software.  I find it interesting that quite a few people we contacted for appointments said that "we are ok for DR" or "we are covered with SRM"; yet 100% of who we met including the VMWare SE team had to admit that VirtualSharp added a value that they do not have covered.

Once again, this is the challenge the team at TrackITOnline faces, evangelising a new angle or technology step.  Fortunately for this one, there does not appear to be any easy to deploy solution for automated DR testing from and application perspective.  Even if you are running SRM with your vSphere environment you can add massive value at an application level to allow the application of SLA and "Certified Recovery Points" at an application services level.

Thanks to Mik for coming all the way out here from Belgium, as with many first time visitors he was pleasantly surprised at where we are in the virtualisation journey.
